Brief
Cklip Commercial Cleaning was appointed to carry out builders’, sparkle and external window cleaning across phases 3 to 12 of the refurbishment.
Brims Construction appointed Cklip Commercial Cleaning to prepare the guest, hospitality, catering and operational spaces included within phases 3 to 12 for handover.
The works were delivered between June and August 2026 by a dedicated team of four to five cleaning operatives, supported by Cklip’s specialist window-cleaning team.
Site Analysis & Planning
Cklip worked closely with Brims Construction and the wider site team to coordinate the cleaning works around the phased refurbishment and handover programme.
Our operatives worked alongside electricians, joiners, painters and decorators. Careful coordination was essential to maintain progress; protect completed areas and ensure each phase was ready for handover without delaying the wider programme.
The project combined historic and newly constructed areas featuring high-end fixtures, bespoke furniture, detailed joinery and carefully selected finishes. Appropriate cleaning methods were essential to protect the restored historic features, natural textures, burnished-brass detailing, stainless steel surfaces and newly installed flooring.
Cklip’s programme covered the Morning Room, cocktail bar, Sycamore, East Basement, basement and ground-floor kitchens, toilet facilities, circulation routes, new-build kitchen, dining and reception areas, the Orangery, bedrooms, bathrooms, luggage areas, Central Basement, external glazing and the Red Room kitchen.
Implementation: Works Carried Out
The builders clean focused on removing construction dust and debris from surfaces, floors, doors, frames, fixtures and bespoke joinery.
Specialist cleaning was completed within the commercial kitchens and catering areas. This included removing protective coverings and films from all new equipment and appliances before thoroughly cleaning and polishing the stainless-steel surfaces.
Detailed cleaning was completed across the new-build kitchen, basement kitchen, ground-floor kitchen and smaller Red Room kitchen. Bedrooms, bathrooms, restaurants, bars and reception areas also received meticulous cleaning, with particular care taken to protect the bespoke joinery, furniture, decorative detailing and high-quality finishes throughout.
Each area then received a final sparkle clean and supervisor inspection, with any snagging addressed before handover.
The new-build, reception and Orangery external windows were cleaned by hand using the traditional method. The remaining external glazing, frames and sills were cleaned using Cklip’s specialist Reach & Wash system.
During the busiest stages of the programme, the team was divided across several work areas to meet simultaneous handover dates while maintaining consistent standards.
