Coronavirus (COVID-19) containment and control assistance
With our North East regional team, cklip commercial cleaning are able to deliver a responsive, professional and legally compliant service.
Depending on your situation, we can provide assistance with COVID-19 containment and control, as well as an all-purpose specialist disinfection of your premises.
Our experienced technicians are equipped with the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), respiratory protective equipment (RPE) and specialist disinfection equipment, to carry out our specialist cleaning and disinfection service options safely and effectively.
Specialist disinfection to assist With COVID-19 containment and control
This service is provided in the event of a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 on your premises, within 72 hours of the case being reported. Our technicians safety and the safety of the general public is of paramount importance to us and is why our carefully risk assessed infection control measures go beyond the minimum World Health Organization (WHO) guidance. For example, our technicians use full face respirators rather than half face respirators to provide them with full protection.
Firstly, cklip will survey your site wearing the appropriate PPE and RPE, then will be guided by the site-specific risk assessment, method statement and safe operating procedures generated at the time of survey. Our technicians will then meticulously manually disinfect rooms and areas that pose a threat of causing cross contamination using a high-level surface disinfectant, which kills 99.9999% of a broad range of pathogens within seconds of contact and has been tested against coronavirus. Ultra low volume (ULV) disinfection fogging, which involves using a fogger to generate extremely small droplets of disinfectant fog, may also be used when required, to allow for the treatment of large areas in a short space of time.
It is extremely important that any waste be disposed of in a safe and legally compliant manner, to help ensure that there is no further cross contamination. Cklip follows the COVID-19 infection prevention and control guidance as set out by Public Health England. All waste will be handled as clinical waste and will be correctly segregated, transported and disposed of in line with clinical waste regulations.
Cklip will segregate waste on site and collect it in specialist UN approved containers that are designed for the transportation of infectious waste. Our ADR licenced waste management technicians will then transport this for disposal by incineration. Full traceability following the Carrier Regulations will be provided, including a hazardous waste consignment note.
Specialist disinfection when a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case is older than 72 hours
This specialist disinfection service is reflective of government guidance, stating that under most circumstances, the amount of infectious virus on any contaminated surface is likely to have significantly decreased after 72 hours. We can provide this service if you have had a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 on your premises and your building has been closed for 72 hours or more.
Our experienced technicians apply full PPE and RPE, then manually disinfect your premises using a high-level surface disinfectant. This includes cleaning key touchpoints, such as door handles and kitchen surfaces, to help minimise the risk of infection. ULV disinfection fogging will also be carried out, to help ensure that all necessary areas are disinfected. All waste is removed from the site following relevant guidance and legislation.
All-purpose specialist disinfection
If there are no confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19 on your site, we can carry out a specialist disinfection service to help protect against microbial infection and to help you maintain a high level of hygiene in your premises.
Our experienced technicians will apply the appropriate PPE and RPE before using ULV disinfection fogging to disinfect your premises. This allows for large areas to be treated quickly and efficiently, as the extremely small droplets of the disinfectant fog settle underneath, on top of and on the sides of many objects and inaccessible areas. There is also the option for our technicians to carry out manual targeted touchpoint cleaning, which can include the cleaning of door handles, light switches and kitchen surfaces, using a high-level disinfectant. Full, safe and legally compliant waste disposal is also provided.
Contingency survey

For customers where speed of service is essential, we offer a contingency survey to allow us to gather key information in advance, so that we can react quickly in the event of COVID-19 being reported on your site. The survey is completed and a report is kept on file, along with a site-specific risk assessment, a method statement and pre-authorised works information. This can only be completed when there are no suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19 on site at the time of the survey.
